Excellent colour and design there. I don't mind at all that there is less atmospheric perspective than entirely realistic; the result is the distant terrain looks stark and clean which is very pleasing IMHO. The foreground plants are excellent.

Very welcome. I'm glad Dax, Drea, Matthew et al created the Vue group as I've found Vue/landscape/CG artists I hadn't by just browsing the digital 3D landscape section of DA.

I agree with you. And the number of people that we will find can only increase!

I think issues of scale can be solved by cranking up the aerial perspective of the atmosphere and that'll make the far hills semm further away too

Wish I had geocontrol, sucks how even after 8 versions, Vue still dosn't have such advanced erosion and sediment deposit features :p

I like the colour of the material mix and the ground populating plants, they're really nice :)

There's something funky with the scale though, I think it might be because the plants aren't populating over the entire terrain so the background part looks like it should be *waaayyy* off in the distance, I think that was probably a choice made to speed the render up possibly?

You are right. This render was mostly focused on understanding how geocontrol and vue can work together, so I didn't pay attention to other aspects, like the one you said.
